History:

Originally, Tsuru and Roshi both trained under Mutaito, but for some reason or another, Tsuru got angry and branched off his own fighting style. Soon after, Tsuru and Roshi became Arch-rivals. The crane style uses a lot of mind skills, and is a very difficult style to master. Most of the techniques used in this style are forbidden to teach, but Tsuru-sennin didn't care and taught his pupils anyways.

Fighting Techniques: 

DodomPa:

A very powerful blast mostly used by Tao Pie Pie and Chouzu, the Dodompa is compareable to the KameHameHa in terms of power. An advantage this attack has is that it can be fired repeatedly. The blast is a straight beam shot from one finger. Robot Tao Pie Pie came up with a new version called the Mega Dodompa.

 

Bukujutsu (Air Dance):

Bukujutsu is the ability to fly with the use of one's ki. Tenshinhan and Chaozu are the first ones to do this in the series, but eventually everyone knows it. The more skilled masters of this technique can maneuver quite well and travel great distances. It is also called the Air Dance by early Martial Artists.

 

Kikoho:

The Kikoho is a deadly technique that if used properly sacrifices the life of the user. First, you have to concentrate all your ki into your hands, then make a box form with them, and everything you look through your hands at will be destroyed. This attack is first shown being used by Tenshinhan against Goku during the Budoukai.

 

Taiyo-ken (Solar Flare):

This technique is very effective, but has little to no actual fighting power. The user places both hands beside the face, palm in, and shouts out Taiyo-Ken. A very bright Solar Light is created behind the user and blinds their opponent.
